Georgia State Trooper Hawk Parrish visited Mrs. King and Ms. Meek's class to discuss his job and how he collaborates with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. Our classes are currently studying the branches of Georgia's government. Trooper Parrish has been working at the Governor's Mansion for a little over a year. His responsibilities include patrolling the grounds and occasionally escorting the Governor and/or his family to and from various locations. Trooper Parrish has held various positions within the Georgia State Patrol and finds satisfaction in protecting our communities and providing legal interpretation for citizens.
We extend our sincere thanks to Trooper Parrish for taking the time to visit Lowndes Middle School.

All players wanting to try out for the Lowndes Middle School Softball team must have a

In March, the Sources of Strength Peer Leader Group centered its efforts on the theme of Mentors. Throughout the month, students acknowledged their trusted adults by organizing a schoolwide "Thank You" card campaign. This initiative invited any student to express gratitude and appreciation by writing positive notes to any trusted adult within the school community.
Following this, students engaged in enjoyable activities such as Mentor Dress Up Days and creating videos as a tribute to these adults who play significant roles in their lives.
To conclude the month, the students orchestrated a "Room Service" Staff-Faculty delivery event. During lunchtime, they decorated kraft bags with uplifting messages and packed them with treats. These personalized packages were then delivered to the staff and faculty members as a token of appreciation for their mentorship and support. #OneLowndes
